The graphical user interface consists of a search field, a clear button, the artists window, the albums window, the tags window and the songs window. Everything except for the songs window is designed to filter the contents of the songs window. When you select an artist from the artists window, it filters the songs to only those which have the artist that you selected. That obviously effects the songs window, but you should also note that it effects the albums and tags windows. This allows for quick additional filtering. At this point you can select an album and then select any on the artists window so that you can see the whole album in the case where there are multiple artists.
The fields in the songs window can be sorted. If you sort by Album, it actually sorts by album and then track number. If you sort by artist, it also sorts by title.
MpDJ was designed to be able to operate quickly. The program can and was designed to be operated with only the keyboard.
